SAVE Sponsored Break

Are you attending Summit on Advanced Volunteer Engagement (SAVE) , after NCVS, June 21-23 in Washington DC?  The Summit is the only national gathering for advanced leaders in volunteer engagement and AL!VE is pleased to announce that we are a sponsor for SAVE this year!

We’d love to connect with our AL!VE members at SAVE, so drop by our information table to say “hello” and pick up your AL!VE member ribbon.   Don’t forget to promote AL!VE by  inviting SAVE participants to join AL!VE (we are the only national association for leaders in volunteer engagement afterall).

If you haven’t registered for SAVE, there is still time.  Just visit SAVE information page and click on the registration link.  If you want to attend SAVE only (you don’t have to attend NCVS), just enter your last name and email address on the conference registration page and then select “Specific Event Only”.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Need A Roomie??

There are several AL!VE members attending NCVS that are looking for a roommate to cut cost.  If you would like to join the list of folks looking for roommate during conference email kcahill@leegov.com

Visit our AL!VE Booth 606 @ NCVS

Come visit us at the NCVS exhibits!  AL!VE board members will be available to speak with you and answer questions.  Get more information about the reception and networking meeting.  For NEW members, stop by to pick up your 25% member discount - this discount applies to individual and group memberships.  You can even join as a member on the spot (or, renew your membership)! To review our member benefits, check out our home page.

We are pleased to partner the booth with CCVA - you can also get information about the Certified Volunteer Administrator certification and meet with Katie Campbell, CCVA director.  (Check our booth for times)  Don't forget AL!VE members get a discount on the CVA certification fee.

Participate in our real-time training topics vote - or suggest a training topic.  The booth will be open at all times listed in the NCVS program schedule.  Feel free to use our booth as a meet-up spot - or if you'd like to connect with someone from AL!VE, we can help you connect.  Stop by and say hello!

Be sure and drop your business card and enter to win a door prize.

AL!VE Reception

AL!VE Reception
Thursday, June 20, 2013, 6:30-8:30pm
Bison Bistro, Department of the Interior, 1849 C Street NW, Washington, DC 20240

The reception will be catered and wine, beer, and sodas will be served. A podium will be available for any speakers, and the reception space is large enough for plenty of seating as well as room for mingling.

We will need a scanned copy (or hard copy) of a name badge for the Interior Building security staff to make for an easy entrance (last year's will suffice and I will look to see if I still have mine). Any reception guests who are not conference attendees should have a photo ID for entrance.

Shuttle service will be provided, courtesy of the National Park Service, from 6-10pm. Shuttles will take reception guests from the Washington Convention Center to the Main Interior Building starting at 6:00pm. Shuttles will continue to run back and forth between those two locations every half hour until 8:00pm. Shuttles will then take guests to the World War II Memorial on the National Mall for talks and tours by National Park Service Volunteers-In-Parks and Park Rangers. Guests will have the option of a short walking tour or staying for presentations in the immediate vicinity of the WWII Memorial. Shuttles will then go back and forth from the National Mall to the Convention Center until the last shuttle leaves the Mall at 10:00pm.

Hope to see you there.
