AL!VE Newsletter: November 2020
Association of Leaders in Volunteer Engagement

President's Message

AL!VE Board President Megan Vixie, MPA, CVA, PHR, SHRM-CP

Dear AL!VE Members,

First and foremost, I wanted to pause and take a moment to recognize that today is Veterans Day.  Much appreciation and gratitude for those that have served our country. We continue to thank you and honor you for your service and dedication to the greater good and all the America stands for.

AL!VE's board has been preparing for 2021 and we are excited for the direction we are heading with our partnerships, programming and budget. As we prepare for next year, we also reflect in the good that has taken place in 2020, despite the many challenges we have faced.  AL!VE has continued to maintain and grow membership at the same pace as our prior year, and we have not missed a beat in offering innovating programming, opportunities to network and platforms to celebrate emerging and exemplary leaders in our field.

I hope to see you all at AL!VE's Annual Meeting on November 18th. It is one of my favorite times of year to see all that we have accomplished together and how we are forging ahead in this profession we are so proud to call our own.  As November is a month of gratitude (e.g., Veterans Day, Thanksgiving and International Volunteer Managers Day on November 5th!), I want to say Thank You! Thank you to those who received an Impact Award for leading the way for your peers.  Thank you to our newest board members for raising your hand and answering the call to serve our profession. Thank you to those who just added those awesome three letters behind your name: C.V.A., demonstrating excellence and commitment to this work. And thank you to all of us, who continue to make a meaningful impact in our communities through the power of volunteerism.  We Rock!

Thank you to renewing members!
