Association of Leaders in Volunteer Engagement

President's Message

AL!VE Board President Megan Vixie, MPA, CVA, PHR, SHRM-CP

Dear AL!VE Members,

It was great to be with many of you at the Annual Meeting as well as our quarterly social last week!  I appreciate the opportunities to connect with you during what many of us consider one of the busiest times of the year.  As it can be stressful to keep all the balls in the air, please remember to reach out to your AL!VE community for support.  There are so many great communities of practice that are taking place and we encourage you to become a part of one or more! So this holiday season, make a New Years resolution to connect with your colleagues for continued professional development, support and camaraderie (because we get it).

I'd like to take a moment to congratulate our new board members on their election to the AL!VE board. We are excited to take the next step with you and continue to build upon our strategic plan.  And none of this could be possible without our awesome Association Manager, Gretchen Jordan, who keeps us on track but also gets us through the hectic times so we can continue to stay at our best.  Thank you Gretchen!

Lastly, while for most this is a very unusual holiday season, I hope that you find time to downshift and enjoy whatever this winter has to offer us.  Whatever you do, please do so safely so you can remain healthy and of service to your community through the amazing work you do!

Congratulations to our New Board Members!
