Our Volunteers’ Impact

We are proud to be supported by a dedicated network of over 50 committed volunteers who went above and beyond last year, contributing more than 3,300 volunteer hours in 2024. And that’s just what we have on record—many more were donated but not recorded. These volunteers are integral to AL!VE’s mission and directly impact our ability to serve the volunteer engagement community. For example...

Communities of Practice (COPs)

Volunteers host and facilitate our Communities of Practice, creating spaces for professionals to collaborate, share insights, and build a network of support. These sessions provide vital peer learning opportunities and have led to actionable changes in organizations.

AL!VE Academies

Volunteers organize and lead AL!VE Academies, an educational initiative designed to empower leaders in the volunteerism sector. By developing these programs, they ensure that volunteer engagement practices evolve in line with the latest trends and strategies.

Service Enterprise

Volunteers are at the forefront of the Service Enterprise program, which focuses on equipping organizations to effectively leverage volunteers as a core strategy for achieving their mission. Their leadership in this program has made it a successful model for volunteer engagement nationwide.

Board Members

Board members and committee chairs play a vital role in shaping the vision and strategic direction of our organization. Through their leadership, expertise, and dedication, they drive key initiatives, foster meaningful collaborations, and ensure sustainable growth.

National Summit on Volunteer Engagement

Volunteers are driving the planning efforts for the 2026 National Summit on Volunteer Engagement, ensuring it will be a groundbreaking event that brings together leaders in volunteerism to create meaningful conversations and outcomes for the field.

Impact Awards

Volunteers run our annual awards program by soliciting nominations, reviewing and scoring applications, selecting winners, and disseminating results and awards packages, ensuring recognition is fair and impactful. Their dedication ensures that outstanding contributions are celebrated, fostering a culture of appreciation in our community.

Amplify Our Impact

As we celebrate Global Volunteer Month, we encourage you to recognize the incredible contributions of our volunteers! Support AL!VE and build awareness of our profession by thanking our volunteers and by sharing your own contributions. We encourage all members, service enterprises, local associations, and partners to take part in volunteer appreciation during this special month. Need some ideas to get started?
