Register Now for AL!VE’s Fall CVA Study Group

AL!VE is pleased to announce that registration is now open for its Fall 2025 CVA Study Group, a guided peer learning program designed to support professionals preparing to earn the Certification in Volunteer Administration (CVA).

Offered twice a year, AL!VE’s CVA Study Group equips participants with the knowledge, tools, and confidence needed to succeed on the CVA exam, administered by the Council for Certification in Volunteer Administration (CCVA). The 9-week program fosters a dynamic and collaborative environment where participants engage in facilitated discussions, explore real-world applications of core competencies, and receive guidance from certified leaders in the field. “I can’t imagine studying for the exam without the structure provided by the study group,” shared a recent participant. “The AL!VE facilitators and guest speakers helped connect the dots between theory and practice—and made the material truly come to life.”

Since launching in Fall 2023, the CVA Study Group has resulted in at least 38 newly certified leaders. Participants consistently report increased confidence, a deeper understanding of the CVA framework, and meaningful connections with peers across the country. “The study group didn’t just help me prepare—it helped me grow as a leader. It’s a game-changer for anyone serious about advancing in the field.”

AL!VE extends its gratitude to lead volunteers and CVAs Sherrill Isenhower, Lynn Lauritzen, and Rosemary Badger, whose dedication and expertise continue to shape the program’s success. The organization also thanks its partners at the CCVA for their shared commitment to elevating the profession of volunteer engagement.

Registration for the Fall 2025 CVA Study Group is open through July 21. For more information or to register, visit volunteeralive.org/cva_study_group.
