Open exclusively to AL!VE members, the 2025 Annual Meeting will serve as both a celebration and a call to action. Members will have the opportunity to vote on the 2026 Board of Directors slate and proposed bylaws revisions, hear key updates from leadership, and engage in open discussion about the organization’s strategic direction.
“The Annual Meeting is one of the most important moments of the year for our members,” said Darlene Laird, AL!VE President. “It’s where we honor the collective progress we’ve made in advancing the profession of volunteer engagement and look forward together to what’s next.”

Agenda Highlights

AL!VE requires participation from at least 10% of its membership (105+ members) to meet quorum for the official vote on the 2026 Board of Directors and bylaws revisions. Member attendance and engagement are crucial to ensuring the association continues to thrive as the national voice and community for volunteer engagement professionals. This year’s meeting will also feature a preview of exciting initiatives planned for 2026, including new resources, learning opportunities, and collaborations designed to strengthen the field and elevate the role of volunteer engagement across sectors. The AL!VE Annual Member Meeting is held the first Thursday of December each year, as outlined in Article IV of the organization’s bylaws. Its purpose is to share election results, review the year’s accomplishments, and present the association’s vision for the year ahead.
