Service Enterprise Advisory Council

The Service Enterprise Advisory Council provides strategic guidance and thought leadership to support the continued growth, credibility, and impact of the Service Enterprise program. Composed of experienced leaders in volunteer engagement, nonprofit management, and national service, the Council helps ensure Service Enterprise remains a trusted, field-driven accreditation that advances excellence in volunteer engagement. Council members bring diverse perspectives from across sectors and regions, offering insight that strengthens program strategy, supports continuous improvement, and elevates the role of volunteer engagement as a core organizational function.


Rosie Drumgoole, CVA

Chief Executive Officer, Chicago Cares
Chicago, IL

Rosie Drumgoole has served as Chief Executive Officer of Chicago Cares since 2023. She began her career at the organization in 2010 and has held leadership roles supporting strategy, partnerships, and community impact. With deep institutional knowledge and strong relationships across Chicagoland, Rosie is a trusted partner to nonprofit and civic leaders. Under her leadership, Chicago Cares has mobilized thousands of volunteers to advance equity and strengthen communities throughout the region.

Victoria Grasela is Vice President of Marketing and Community Engagement at United Way of Greater New Bedford. She leads strategic outreach, volunteer engagement, and cross-sector partnerships to advance community impact across the South Coast region. With expertise in nonprofit management and mission-driven communications, Victoria is recognized locally for her civic leadership and commitment to inclusive community building. She is known for connecting people and resources to drive measurable outcomes for families and individuals.


Lisl Hacker

Chief Program Officer, Massachusetts Service Alliance

Lisl Hacker is a service and volunteerism leader with 15 years of experience across nonprofit, state, and national programs. She serves as Chief Program Officer at the Massachusetts Service Alliance, where she oversees AmeriCorps grants, statewide training initiatives, and Service Enterprise certification. Her career spans environmental education, human services, workforce development, and national service leadership, including roles at YouthBuild USA. Lisl holds degrees from Bowdoin College and Boston University and brings a systems-level approach to strengthening service infrastructure.


Michelle Raymer, CVA

Deputy Director of Volunteer Service, Volunteer Iowa

Michelle Raymer is the Deputy Director of Volunteer Service at Volunteer Iowa, supporting communities, nonprofits, and government agencies through strategic volunteer engagement. She also serves as a trainer and coach for Service Enterprise, the national accreditation for volunteer engagement excellence. With 20 years of experience across national service, nonprofit program development, and volunteer engagement, Michelle is a respected field leader. She is a past president of the Association of Leaders in Volunteer Engagement (AL!VE) and remains actively involved in her community.


Lauren Reynolds

Vice President of NGO & Network Programs, Points of Light

Lauren Reynolds serves as Vice President of NGO & Network Programs at Points of Light, where she supports nonprofit and network partners advancing volunteerism and civic engagement. Her work focuses on strengthening organizational capacity, fostering collaboration, and scaling impact across the social sector. Lauren brings a national perspective on service, partnership development, and network leadership to her role on the Advisory Council.


Cathy Thoma, MHR, CVA

Director of Volunteer Resources, Hammer & NER

Cathy Thoma is a former President of AL!VE, where she served four years in executive leadership roles. During her presidency, she helped lead the Career Pathways Survey and national efforts to establish a volunteer engagement occupation code with the U.S. Department of Labor. Cathy is Director of Volunteer Resources at Hammer & NER, supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in the Twin Cities. Outside of work, she is an avid amateur genealogist.


Megan Vixie, MPA, CVA, PHR, SHRM-CP

Chief Engagement Officer, Beach Cities Health District

Megan Vixie is Chief Engagement Officer at Beach Cities Health District, where she leads volunteer engagement and workforce strategy for one of the nation's leading preventive health agencies. She oversees systems supporting more than 1,000 volunteers contributing 34,000 hours annually and plays a key role in organizational culture and talent strategy. Megan serves on the AL!VE Board and national volunteer engagement task forces. Her work centers on unlocking people's potential to drive meaningful community impact.


Angela Williamson, CVA

Consultant, Volunteer Engagement Accelerator

Angela Williamson is a nationally recognized volunteer engagement leader with nearly 20 years of experience supporting museums and mission-driven nonprofits. She is the founder of Volunteer Engagement Accelerator, where she partners with organizations to build practical, people-centered volunteer strategies. Angela also serves as Volunteer & Community Relations Specialist at the Blood Bank of Delmarva. She is a past president of DAVA, a 2022 AL!VE Impact Award recipient, a NOVAA 101 instructor, and a frequent speaker on volunteer engagement and sustainability.
