The 2026 National Summit on Volunteer Engagement hosted by AL!VE will bring together nonprofit, government, and corporate professionals in volunteerism and service to ignite their passion for innovation, unlock their potential, and connect with the field.

Marriott is pleased to offer special discounts for Summit attendees. The official conference hotel is the Sacramento Marriott Rancho Cordova. The deadline to reserve a room with the discounted rate is the end of the day on Monday, February 23, 2026. AL!VE is committed to providing an inclusive experience for all attendees. The Summit venue complies with ADA standards. Please indicate any mobility, hearing, vision, or other accessibility needs on your registration form or email alivesummit@volunteeralive.org.
Meals will include vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Please share any dietary restrictions or allergies when registering. All food items will be clearly labeled. We encourage attendees to notify staff of any specific concerns during meal service.
By attending the Summit, participants grant permission to AL!VE to photograph, record, and use images or video for promotional purposes. Attendees who prefer not to appear in photos may notify AL!VE via the registration form.
AL!VE strives to create a welcoming, respectful, and harassment-free environment for all. Attendees are expected to uphold professional standards of behavior. Violations of this policy may result in removal from the event without refund.
Personal information collected during registration is used solely for event administration and communications. AL!VE does not sell attendee data. Limited information (name, organization, state) may be shared with sponsors or included in attendee lists.
The conference hotel is the Sacramento Marriott Rancho Cordova, located a 30-minute ride from the Sacramento International Airport (SMF). Book your room through the official housing link here to ensure Summit rates. Please beware of unofficial solicitations claiming to represent the conference.
A: The Summit will be hosted at the Sacramento Marriott Rancho Cordova in Rancho Cordova, which is part of the Sacramento Metropolitan Area. Sacramento International Airport (SMF) is the closest major airport, offering service from most major airlines. We have a discount code for Delta Air Lines—details are available on the Summit web page.
A: The Sacramento Marriott Rancho Cordova is a 30-minute car ride from the SMF. You can use ride-share services, taxis, or rental cars, all readily available at the airport. Parking is free at the conference hotel. If you’re interested in taking public transit, the hotel is located on the Sacramento Regional Transit light-rail Gold Line with easy access to downtown Sacramento. You can take one of several bus lines from the airport into downtown Sacramento and then hop on the Sacramento Regional Transit light-rail Gold Line.
A: Yes! There are several restaurants and shops within walking distance of the hotel. The city of Sacramento is just a short light-rail ride away, offering rich history, museums, art, and access to California wine country and Gold Rush sites. The Visit Rancho Cordova tourism website also highlights local attractions.
A: The dress code is business casual during daytime sessions. For evening events, we encourage attendees to wear “spirit wear” from your organization or from AL!VE. You can order your own AL!VE gear through our online shop at volunteeralive.org/shop.
A: Yes! During registration, you’ll be able to share your dietary needs, and we’ll ensure your meals accommodate your preferences and restrictions.
A: Each day of the Summit includes a continental breakfast for all attendees. There’s also a Starbucks located in the hotel for additional options.
A: Your Summit registration automatically grants you a one-year AL!VE membership, giving you access to:

A: Yes. The Sacramento Marriott Rancho Cordova is fully accessible, with elevators, accessible guest rooms, and barrier-free pathways throughout the venue.
A: Yes. All large sessions will have microphones and sound systems. Smaller rooms are designed for strong acoustics to ensure clear sound.
A: Please let us know your accessibility needs when you register, and we’ll work with you to make the Summit experience inclusive and comfortable.
A: Yes! We’ll host a networking happy hour and hope to include optional social activities or field trips in the surrounding area. Full details will be available in the Summit app closer to the event.
A: While AL!VE is not coordinating room shares directly, we encourage you to connect with colleagues or other attendees through our member portal and social channels if you’d like to share accommodations.
A: Yes! A special Summit room rate is available for attendees. Use the booking link on the Summit Registration web page above to secure your discounted room.
A: Yes. If requested, you’ll receive a certificate of completion on the final day of the Summit to document your participation hours for CVA or other credentials.
A: In March, Sacramento enjoys mild spring weather with average highs around 65°F (19°C) and lows near 44°F (7°C). Expect moderately cool mornings and evenings with comfortable afternoons. Layers are your best bet — bring a light jacket or sweater for cooler times of day.
